Safety Of The New G60 - Fatal Head On Accident

I remember seeing a crash of a G60 being posted here earlier, an incident in Germany. “Maybe first totaled G60 in Germany (Hessen), Today”

So thought I’d share this crash I came across on YouTube. Reports say that an SUV driver drove the wrong way and collided with a G60 head on. The SUV driver died and the BMW driver is taken to the hospital with injuries that are non life threatening.
No identifiable pictures of the SUV, but the fact that the driver of the 5 series is okay is incredible from looking at the car. Demolished to the B pillar!
Goes to show how safe these things are, people have been shaming the 5 series for being so heavy, but I’d rather have a safe, heavy car than a lightweight tincan.

Edit: My bad, it’s a G70 7 series.

Update: Sources say the wrong way vehicle was a Range Rover. Which flipped over and burst into flames

Source: These are not my photos, nor is the dashcam footage which I have taken from a Reddit post.

They engineer great cars. Two years ago, an idiot driver going way too fast in the snow t-boned me in our X5. Her Camry was totally destroyed. The X5 had relatively minor damage (still expensive to repair) despite an impact so hard that it sheered off the bottom of some of my tires.

Engineering matters.
