Sport Mode and Live Car View
I might have to turn in my BMW Owner's card after posting this because I've had my car since Mar 21, 2024 and this past week was the first time I have spent more than 10 minutes in Sport mode. I usually drive in Personal mode, with the occasional Digital Art mode and almost always have Android Auto showing in the control display.
What I found really neat was the screen below - I didn't even know it existed until I spent all my drives in Sport mode and found it by accident. When in Sport mode, and you choose the Live Car View, you get the screen below, presuming you have the Live Car View set to use adaptive content. I just thought it was really cool to have a live readout as you drive of the torque, HP, and what looks like battery temperature. I'm not even sure what the third one is - it looks like "one per minute x1000". Electric engine RPMs maybe? Anyone know?

Yup. That’s rpm in the third bar - it’s cool data and the 4th is motor temp I believe. I’ve been surprised how long it takes the motor to cool, I’m not sure if using regen actually contributes to engine temp (would seem believable).

My son has that set as a short cut along with sport mode when he gets in to drive. He also defaults to the g-force meter in the dash. I let him drive yesterday and my lower back is still sore, lol.
The 3rd is the rpm of your electric motor. |
