I have a long drive today, so I plugged my car in last night around 6pm.

This morning, My BMW app showed my car still charging and status was 99%, 351 miles. I knew there was no way I could still be charging.
Car showed 100% charged and 358 miles of range.

I tried a few remote commands via the app to see if I could get the app to update...but everything failed.

I turned off Data Privacy Settings in the car and did an iDrive reboot and turned all Data back on. My BMW app then changed to 98% charged and 344 miles :-o

A lock command successfully sent But then an unlock command failed, and pre departure failed....so I signed out of My BMW app and when I signed back in, it is dead. No info.

Anyone else having these issues, or once again, just me? Thanks and "Happy Thursday".

No issues for me….I’ve once had my car think it was still charging after I disconnected my home charger. I ended up reconnecting and doing a tiny charge session to “reset” it and didn’t have any further issues.

Still working OK for me. Successfully updated the remote camera views, and state of charge updated.

Seems to be working for me. Correctly sees state of charge and connects and updates fine. Good luck (presumably, you tried a reboot of the phone, and of iDrive as well).

iPhone restart. Two iDrive reboots. Signed in and out of My BMW app 2x.

App has "improved" today, but still something going on. Also, when I got in my car...I was not signed in and the guest account was active (have never had this happen before).

My car ignored my phone today. I opened my wallet and the digital key said it could not find my car. I took the actual key fob today. I thought it might have been because I downloaded the new app for testing this week, but maybe not.

I have had the guest account thing. I fixed it by deleting the digital key in iDrive, and resetting it up with both keys in the car.

Maybe intermittent bugs, server issues?

I have received 2 My BMW app updates in the Apple Store in about a week. Normally weeks or even months pass without a My BMW app update.

Are you both on Apple (those that reported issues)? Maybe the Android app is working but something got borked on the Apple app.

I’m on Apple. It started working sometime again overnight. It is almost like there are sometimes regional service outages.

One thing I’ve learned with both the i7 and i5 is that it may be necessary to remove and repair your mobile phone after each software update. I don’t know why that’s a thing, but it has helped me a few times with similar issues.

That is a good observation, as many times (but now always)...after an iOS update or even a My BMW app update, this is when problems or snafus present themselves.

My digital phone key is still inactive. I’m going to have to delete in the car and set it back up. Once I get in my car using the key fob, the digital key in my wallet is activated again. It still might be related to the new MyBMW app that I am testing. It has a lot of new features. The test lasts another week, so I guess I will carry the key.

Did you try just deleting the key from Apple Wallet and re-adding it via MyBMW?

Not yet. I just walked by my car without the key and it unlocked. When I drove this morning, I had to use the key. I’ll check it when I get back home this afternoon.

I had this happen to me followed by a check control message "Emergency call system malfunction". Took the vehicle to my dealer and the shark fin had to be replaced. I am still having problems sending remote commands to the vehicle when it is "sleeping". Previously it might take multiple attempts especially when the cell service was poor but now nothing. It will receive commands if the car is "awake". Very annoying.....

That is annoying. This is how my 1st iX was and my Audi e-tron was like this 99% of the time. So sorry!

Keep complaining to BMW & making service appts.. Paper trail, service visits and still not working correctly is how you get BMW to give you a new car, or process a buy back!!

Try uninstalling the BMW app from your phone completely and then reinstalling?
