Not sure if I like it yet, moving towards luxury more and more

In all likelihood, yes. It cannot be said for certain yet, but at this point we could expect a lineup very similar to the G70 7 Series which will precede the G60 5 Series by one year - heavy on EV and PHEV, light on gas and diesel.

What we do know is that BMW will continue to sell combustion vehicles into next decade. As we move past 2025 and on toward 2030, we will see the majority of those become PHEV. Furthermore, we'll see their share of BMW's sales decrease steadily in favor of BEV. |

thats how it used to be, if you havent noticed they changed the chassis strategy. which is why every M model is an x8x and every touring has a 1 at the end. every coupe has a 2 at the end and every sedan has a 0 at the end.

The last gen of chassis, from F80/82, F87, F90, and G30 — some of the most balanced looking, and simultaneously classy and aggressive bimmers yet, probably the best gen since the late 90s chassis imo. Great looking cars. I'm not a hater of the new gen as much as others are, but they definitely aren't improvements. Particularly sucks because they may well be the end of the ICE era, on a down note. Really happy i bought. Will try and keep this G30 LCI in peak condition so its still peak form in a decade. I, as I imagine many around here, will not go easy into that good night. Genuinely want to stick ICE until it's no longer a viable option. EVs so muted, sterile, and lifeless. Even with performance versions they just dont feel alive. |

Hold out for 7 or so years, and maybe they'll give the life long bimmer people what they want for the last gen of ICEs in the late 2020s |

This can go either way: it's either going to be awesome or it's going to be really awkward looking. The last time I felt this way is when Mercedes went from the bulky and cool 1999-2002 CLK 430/55 to the crap, feminine 2003 - 2008 CLK 500.
I'm scared. |
