2024 G60 Designer's interview - confused car?
This video seems to have some great info on what inspired the design. While its great to listen to what philosophy was adopted, it almost seems like the design direction is muddled with many many compromises, some driven by government standards, safety regulations, efficiency, BUT others just from pure preference of the design team.
It's not a clean flowing ONE character car that appeals and speaks like an individual personality. F10 was, G30 was. Even E60 was to a good extent, all quite German. G60 feels like a 5th generation kid who is born in a diverse land with some genes from all continents... Meanwhile Porsche continues to modernize exterior on their cars keeping the Porsche DNA. Finally here it is from HB.

Weird how he thinks it’s going to be received as well as the recent Touring Concept.
Car looks too tall, obviously some of that is due to the battery, and the 3/4 rear view in the press release is simply awful. The lack of any flared arches make it look so plain and slab sided. Anyway, ageing hipsters with shoes and no socks isn’t good.
