Aggressive driving and range in the M60i?
I had a i5 M60i loaner for a few days while my M8 was being serviced. I’ve never driven an electric car in my life so it was all new to me.
Obviously, it’s a fast car. What type of range do you guys get who drive the car aggressively? I was a little nervous that it seemed pressing the boost button would take 2 percent off the battery percentage. I took the car at 100 percent charged and it was 22 percent when I returned it. I had it 2 days and drove maybe 200 miles. The battery also seemed to be really going down quickly after I got to like 25 percent….is this normal?

If you charge it overnight, you don't have to worry about range even when driving aggressively. If you don't have access to overnight charging, it really takes the convenience and enjoyment out of EV.

Once you have had the car several months, you won’t drive aggressively every time. I got my car in winter which is not good for efficiency. I was getting 2.8 mi/kWh. Now I am getting 3.3 mi/kWh. I also live in an area with elevation changes. This summer, I am seeing about 280 miles of range. I do have a home charger and charge about once a week.
