Hi

Just got a text from my dealer in France saying that the data to redo the programming would not be available before the 22nd of Dec. Don't have more details.

Does this impact cars currently in production? Or just ones that are at the port and dealer lots?

Being that my car is at port still and fix not available until 12/22, I'm looking at Jan 2024 to get the car

I would assume that cars currently in production and future builds will have the fix needed included in their builds.

[QUOTE=PsychDoc;30729191]I would assume that cars currently in production and future builds will have the fix needed included in their builds.

If it is a backup sound, which is a government requirement safety feature, it should be on a recall list. And existing vehicles would not be allowed to be driven. If it didn’t affect previous builds, then I can’t believe they just broke something.

My transport ship docks in less than a day. If I don’t do my trade by year end, I lose another year of depreciation. I will talk with my SA today.

Received some good news from my dealership today, they have an estimated pick up date for me on 12/20. They advised it is an estimate but definitely by the end of the month (latest) I’ll be able to pick it up.

Mine has been at the dealership since 12/8, I’m not sure if they are prioritizing vehicles at dealerships over others.

My SA just read me the entire recall notice. It’s an audio bus issue. No current timeline for the fix. Dealers are not allowed to sell any i5s in stock and all cars in transit will be held at the port. Hopefully, it won’t take too long to fix.

Was texting my sales advisor because a friend was looking for an i5.

He said stop sale on all i5 and ix until next week.

The 20th works for me. Mr car is being unloaded today, so not really much of a delay. I had estimated 2 days for customs, 4 days at VPC, 7 days for a truck and transport, 3 days prep at dealer. I might squeak in before the year end. If not, I will schedule my holiday time off in January.

If you can read the URL, you can enter your VIN and check if they have updated your vehicle.

This is all very interesting. My dealer claims to know nothing. They told me not to expect a resolution until next year. Please post if your vehicle gets a fix so I can hold my dealer's feet to the fire.

I have had my i5 M60 for a few weeks now, entered VIN and shows:

no recall 0065470400 Steuergeräte programmieren (RAM Receiver-Audio-Modul) Status is Open

I will contact my dealer to see if they know anything.
