550e Ordering Info
Sorry to ask again, any update on order guides, pricing, etc?
Dealer had said info in April, but I have not heard anything. Current lease extended to beginning of August. Also, wonder if any of the promotions will be available. Thanks. |

My dealer "hopes" by late May. Sort of strange as the Canadian dealers have had the Order Guide for weeks. If there is no option for the DHP, or at least the IAS and adjustable dampers, I'm out.

Integral Active Steering and Adaptive Professional Suspensions are stock equipments in Europe, I would be surprised that you cannot have it even in option, in USA

By the way, BMW really is missing an opportunity by canceling the M560e, which would compete directly with the incoming Mercedes-AMG E53 PHEV. Shame.

Most likely what the US product planners are looking at is likely volume if offered as option, profitability if they do, and whether or not they have production capacity to support it. What we might want as individuals isn’t relevant as much as total volume, profitability and capacity. And whether or not all those meet BMW’s standards/thresholds to offer.

Yeah, the 5500e will no longer be an option for me if they don't offer the full suspension package in the US. |

The M560e would sort of be the halo car for the regular 5 series. M5 is in a league of its own. Shame, BMW is giving that market segment away to MB. Audi will be in a bit of product drought for a while. So the E53 has that performance lite category to itself. Lucky them. I will have to check it out.

Hi,
For those who have already received their 550th, production of mine is due to start in week 23 (early June) and the dealer has told me that delivery should then be possible from the end of June. How long did it take for you from the start of production? Thanks in advance for your answers! |

I had my 550e exactly 4 weeks from the start of production. I think I was lucky with an early UK shipping slot, prompt onward transit and my dealer likes to have cars on the road in 2 days and not 2 weeks like some. So your dealer could well be correct with the time estimate for Luxembourg
Enjoy the anticipation while waiting, it will absolutely be worth it. You have made a great choice. |
