Confused about the i5 M60 suspension package

Reading a lot of write-ups and watching videos about the M60, it appears that the reviewers aren't always sure about the suspension package.

Some of the information indicates that the active anti-roll, vibration dampening, and rear-wheel turning (all in the Adaptive M Suspension Professional) are optional on the M60, but other sources say it is standard on all M60 builds.

I thought it was standard - and I suspect that it is technically an "option" on the whole i5 line because of it not being on the base e40 - so that may be what is leading to their confusion. But for any M60, it is effectively standard.

Is that right? Just a bit confused here, thanks!

Both features (active roll stabilization and integral active steering a.k.a rear wheel steering) are part of the "M Adaptive Suspension Pro" package, which is standard for i5 M60s in the US market, and optional in some other markets. For example, it's a £4,000 option in the UK.

HOWEVER, due to inventory constraints the US market M60s won't have active roll stabilization at launch. Integral active steering is still standard.

Thanks! So it is pretty variable at the moment, which explains why the sources are often different in the info.

Active roll is not standard in the United States.

Delayed introduction yes, but not standard (you might want to read the US press release before you state things as fact - no offense intended).

As a sidenote, it seems that almost all of the press cars were delivered with this feature for reviews.

It is a $4,000 dollar option in Canada as well.

Thanks. None taken and I stand corrected.

It is now included in a Dynamic Handling Package (ZDH) in the USA for $3600.

Where can I found ZDH? Don’t think I see this anywhere in the website?

Your dealer can add it when they build your car in their system.

Update! I, too was getting the run around in S. CA - was it already included? Not available, "secret special order" or what.

Seems the later is the case. Per Crevier BMW I'm not seeing that package option addable on BMW USA BYO but I believe that is something our inventory manager can manually add when placing the order. That package option retails for $3,600.

We'll see if that's indeed the case!

At least in Canada, you get the 4 wheel steering without the $4000 Pro package.

Anyone know if ZDH (Dynamic Handling Package) is still a $2500 “hidden” option? Why isn’t ZDH listed as a Priority 1 option on the ordering guides?

According to the UK website the active rear steering is standard on the UK cars.
