Is there anyone on the West Coast that have taken delivery of their new i5 yet? I have been in Quality Check for the last 3 weeks! lol I am hopeful that I'll have mine by the second week of November. I wanted to create this thread for anyone still on the patience train!!

BMW Seattle has their demo i5 M60 ready for test drives. BMW Lynnwood has the car in stock which I had a deposit on, and still haven’t been refunded but that’s another story. Tacoma has stock as well.

Just test drove the m60 demo. Damn it drives well. Really fun to drive.

Dope! I'm in LA and none of the dealers including mine have had any delivered. I'm ready to get my hands on mine! I'm considered week 39 so we'll see!

They let you test drive one!? Now I'm even more ready for my car. Hopefully, I can get mine before the holidays!

No. I went to the closest dealer to place an order, BMW Lynnwood. The salesperson told me that orders go into a desk drawer and sit for 2 years. If I wanted a car, then I needed to take the one they ordered. It was white, no m-sport, black veganza, no driving package, no executive pack. Bare bones. They immediately tried to get me to sign a contract and trade my car. They said they were doing me a favor by not marking it up $20k. I put a $2,000 deposit on it, because I wanted an i5. Later on, after I spoke with other BMW dealers, I found out I could order. I placed my order on October 6th with BMW Seattle and requested a refund from Lynnwood. They said they processed it on Oct 6th. It’s still not back in my bank account. I call them every few days. It’s a nightmare.

Every dealer gets 1 demo my SA said. They can’t sell it. They got it last night. I checked this morning and there was one at the dealership. He said come on down and let’s take it for a spin.

The power and torque was awesome. Definitely had some fun with it.

Looks good! What week were you? I'm also going through Southbay BMW so there are probably some differences in delivery but damn mine should be here by now lol!

Mine arrived Friday to Elk Grove CA, but I was out of town, so picked it up yesterday. Juiced!!!

I just got back from test driving the M60 at BMW Seattle. We took an extended drive around the twisty roads on Mercer Island, plus freeway time on I-90. My husband drove first. He is 6’2” and with the adjustability of the seats and steering wheel, he was extremely comfortable. I am 5’1” and was able to easily dial in a perfect driving position, as well. I found it more comfortable than my Jaguar XE. It did have Veganza and thankfully didn’t have any weird odors. It was soft, but I still am glad I went for the merino with the two tone colors.

The car was great in the tight curves, and handled very well. I set the dash to show me g-force and got up to .71. I used boost a couple of times and it was a rush.

I listened to Sirius XM but didn’t really have a chance to play with the stereo controls. We tried a few of the modes. I really liked the digital art in purple, but my husband preferred personal. I did most of my driving in sport, though. (After 6 months, he still hasn’t used sport mode in his Lightning).

Final assessment. I am in love. My husband said that he would have bought it over his Lightning Platinum. Our vehicle is built and waiting for a ship to the west coast. My salesperson estimates mid December for delivery. We decided to trade both my Jaguar and our rarely used Mazda CX-9 to reduce taxes.

Hey thanks for the details here! Everyone is saying the same thing in terms of handling and comfort! Mine just updated to Arrive at the port here in LA on the 22nd. I went with the quilted veganza. Once I take ownership I'll drop some photos here!
