I like it. I have seen some ugly renders but none of the legit spy shots have turned me off yet. My only outstanding question is how that radar will be integrated into the front grille, but that's not really likely to sway me one way or the other at this point. Probably will go for the B58 version w/ xDrive.

Not liking how they integrated the radar with the grille but I’ll wait to form a full opinion once we see the whole front end revealed.

Rear looks fine.

I like the rear even though it slightly reminds me of the Camry. I’m not sure how/why that happened.

Thankfully, they were able to decrease the size & weight, keep the luxury, respect traditional features, reduce exterior fluff as well as righten any illogical lines. This might be the best 5-series ever made. I am optimistic.

Looks promising.
Is the grille now a dealer-installed PDI item?

What’s with the 2 different sized grills? And I hope you can opt out of drivers assistance features and get a complete grill

Nice find Stein.

That Grill is funky.

Rear end seems decent.

Finally a bmw EV sedan that isn’t exaggerated. My hope is someone wants this sedan- and that a 540 also is built.

Launch is a i5 and 530- with 540 launched later…

Looks more and more like a Chinese designed car. C’mon BMW, you can do better.

It’s not like any of “i” grills have really gone with convention when it comes to their comparative ICE model so no surprise here.

Expected more from the tail lights design, this is too sleek almost. Not obnoxious, just seems slightly conservative/lazy. Front end would tell us how it all looks better together

I kinda wish they had left the Radar sensor in the lower part of the bumper,...like the G30!

I hope the i5 sells like hotcakes because I can't stand seeing the same boring EVs on the road over & over. Except for the Taycan, that thing is gorgeous.

Mounting radars too low does not result with the same coverage for autonomous L2+/L3 driving. A huge challenge with sedans.
