Congratulations! It's an exciting moment. Be sure to register on the BMW website and add your pending vehicle to the 'My Garage' section, once your dealer sends you the production number

Thanks!

Thanks! Have a production number and the car is in MyGarage. Dealer was able to rework an existing production slot to match my spec, so that should shorten the time to delivery.

Congrats!! That's pretty much the mirror image of my spec and I've been very happy thus far! I envy you that you'll get DHP -- it wasn't available yet when I leased mine.

Were you able to negotiate any % off the MSRP? Curious because we are also looking at doing a custom order, and the dealer so far hasn't applied any discount (other than $7500 EV lease credit).

Consider working with a broker (you can find many good ones on Lease Hackr). It seems 8-9% off MSRP is not hard to do with a broker.

Sounds great! You're going to love it! The car is super fun to drive. Lots of people complaining about the weight, but you really don't feel it. It's got insane power and holds corners really nicely for enthusiastic driving.

I presume pricing starts from MSRP currently, with the $7500 leasing incentive, no purchasing discounts, but no markup at this time?

Is the price fixed when you order, or does it remain fluid until delivery date (i.e. if BMW increases MSRP after you order, the sale price goes up)? Does leasing vs. buying have to be decided at order time or not until delivery time?

You should easily be able to get a discount off MSRP particularly with a broker. BMW does not increase MSRP within the model year. There is no need to decide purchase vs lease at the time of order, but leasing unlocks the EV incentive $ which purchasing does not.

I agreed on a selling price with my dealer when I ordered the car. Between then and when I actually signed the papers (the same day I took delivery), we had renegotiated a lower price. Each month as I waited for delivery, I would look at the deals on the BMW web site and as the deals improved from BMW (basically lower lease rates) I would send it to my dealer and ask them to pass on that savings to me and they did.

Short answer is this: when you place the order with your dealer, ask them up front if you are committed to this car when it comes in. When I asked that question to three dealers in my area they all said there is no commitment when placing the order. When the car comes in, I could change my mind and walk away, no money lost. The dealers around here will just sell the car to someone else. In fact, I placed two orders with two different dealers and cancelled out of one of them when I didn't like the way I was being treated by the dealer, and kept the other order.

Just ask your local dealers and see what they say.

I am about to order a similar build with front vent seats and am trying to get a picture of the dark violet/atlas grey leather. Can't find it anywhere. Figured for the price I might as well get full leather.

To those looking to purchase one of these, I highly recommend looking at cars in inventory first. There's some great deals to be had out there for cars on the lot vs ordering.

I got an I5M60 loaded one late last year and got almost 20k off the MSRP for my lease price (including tax credits).

Has anyone ordered the full merino leather package? Extended was the only option for us in 2024. I’m interested in seeing where they have added leather surfaces.

Production pushed back

BMW Genius tells me that “supply chain issues” have forced my production week back from September 15 to November 4. Rats!

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the '24 and '25 M60?

New leather color options, dynamic handling package which gives the US the option from Europe.

When is that NACS connector going start going into builds? BMW has been saying “2025” without specifics. Anybody heard anything more definitive (e.g. start of calendar year 2025, a certain week, or TBD thanks to Tesla Supercharger firings)?
