i5 m60 Interior Ambient Lighting
Hi, just picked up the M60 and trying to figure our interior ambient lighting.
When selected and the car underway (not just stationary), should it illuminate the driver and passenger footwells, door cards etc or is it limited to the crystal bar effect? Thanks, L |

It does the cup holders, no footwells. Honestly, that would be too much light IMO. The light bar is on the front door panels. The rear speakers are white lit, but only if you turn that option on.

I think it also lights up the phone charging area.

If you have the “dim ambient lights at night” option (can’t recall what it’s called) then a lot of the ancillary lighting (speakers, door cubbbies, cup holders etc) is dramatically reduced.

Footwells are definitely lit, it just isn’t as bright as the rest. There’s also a few other areas, door bin and pull handle to close the door in the door arm rests, wireless charger is projected down from under the dash, over the iDrive controller has a pair of lights on the overhead console between the map lights, rear map lights have a single light projected down the middle too.

Thanks for the responses. It was the "dim ambient lights at night" option that did it !
