Luxury Seating Package

In terms of seat controls, what does this package add? Really disappointed that you can’t get the 540 with massaging seats. Perhaps when the 2025 builds start in a couple of weeks they add this feature.

They haven’t added it for the 2025 i5 xdrive so I’m not sure it will launch for the regular 5 series.

From what I have read, and seen on various videos the Luxury Seating Package, in addition to providing ventilation, front/rear heated seats, and the multifunction support, appears to have a slightly different pattern and more cushioning. It also has electronically adjustable headrests vs. manual.

Perhaps someone with the package will post a picture for comparison?

That’s how my G30 is on the seats. Haven’t been able to see anything different in any videos or posts. Strange.

It’s dark in the garage. I’ll take some pictures first thing tomorrow morning.

Here are two pictures of the seat and menu I got with the Luxury Seat Package. In the menu, each dot controls a part of the seat. The dots are for:
  1. Thigh support - this can be moved forward/back and up/down.
  2. Side Bolster support - can be moved tighter/looser.
  3. Seat Bottom - can be moved forward/back and up/down.
  4. Seat Back - Can be reclined towards the front/back.
  5. Headrest - can be moved up/down. The button on the side of the headrest is still used to manually move it forward/back.
  6. Lumbar support - not shown on the screen, but only operable through the physical buttons on the side of the seat.

I'm not sure if the actual pattern/stitching on the seats are different than the regular seat package, but the picture below shows what it looks like in Black Veganza.

What does “Comfort Exit” do?

Slides the seat back when you unbuckle the seatbelt and relaxes the side bolsters to make entry and egress easier (resets them when you buckle up).

This is a new feature for comfort seats in the G60. My G30 with comfort seats relaxes the side bolsters but doesn’t slide the seat back when you unbuckle/power off and it’s not selectable. I’m tall so my seat is already back so that’s not a big deal for me.
