Does anyone have links to a website that gives detailed production status?
I recall there was a very helpful post and website in the past that provided very detailed information re: where your vehicle was in its production. Much more detailed and comprehensive than the "my garage" section of the bmwusa website.
If I recall correctly, this provided buyers with ways to track production from initial order, to shipping across the Atlantic, to the VPC and finally out to the dealership. I remember using this with my two prior 5 series purchases but can't find this anywhere now. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I don't have to resort to taking medication to deal with my OCD? LOL |

I think that software is now dealer only, but My Garage is really good at keeping up to date. The assembly process is a matter of days. I slept through most of it due to the time difference. Once you get to Bremerhaven, you will be on your own. I found web sites for every RoRo shipping company, looked up start and end ports, with dates and made a grid. Genius will tell you the ship name once you flip to In Transit. Then comes vessel tracking. I watched my ship go through the Panama Canal on webcams. (Both locks). I watched port traffic so I knew when the ship docked. I’m now in the distribution center waiting on a software update. But, I found a site to track when it gets installed. Yes, I am obsessive.
