Have you taken your short position?

Lost count how many brands are now switching too NACS(Tesla connector). They will own charging infrastructure in US for decades. Their Pre-facbricated Supercharger Units are unmatched and speed at which they can deploy them. Largest and fastest growing dc fast charging network.

No progress.

That's predatory behaviour from other manufacturers now that the old fashioned blob cars are toast bar a highland/plaid/cybersuck or whatever. It'll be spun as a tesla success though.

The predators that lose $32,000 per EV sold.

Those non-Telsa owners will be paying Elon to charge, most likely higher rates. They will gladly pay it because EA is an embarrassment.

The joke is on Tesla owners who pay Elon a 40% profit per vehicle sold. Thankfully I haven't enriched his coffers by buying one of those shapeless formless generic rides. Most people with half a brain and a wallet would be charging @ home anyway.

Elton Musk never passes up a government teat to suckle.

Tesla to open U.S. charging network to rivals in $7.5 billion federal program
The move could help turn Tesla into the universal "filling station" of the EV era - and risk eroding a competitive edge for vehicles made by the company, which has exclusive access to the biggest network of high-speed Superchargers in the United States.
In response, Tesla Chief Executive Musk said, "Thank you, Tesla is happy to support other EVs via our Supercharger network."

Imagine, if you will, Exxon being paid US tax payer money to expand their gas stations?

I just don't see how the other manufacturers camping out on the Tesla charging network is going to work in the long term. One has to assume Tesla owners get priority on the network. The beauty of the Tesla charging system is the network integration with Tesla's navigation apps. The Tesla system manages all the charging requirements of its fleet because of the integration. Outside users have to fill in the empty spots not designated for a Tesla car, which is just a guess to find an open charger. Tesla's charging network coverage is still not plentiful in the middle of the USA.
The chargers that are open to all have no priority basis for Tesla. I don't have a Tesla but I can see where non teslas are allowed and how many spaces are open. I have attached a screenshot taken now with London as an example location Bottom line is most are vacant and probably losing money so decision to open them to all may pay for maintence cost etc.

It’s worse than that. Those charging stations were paid for by all the grant/federal tax credits Tesla Received* the 8 years before it ever made a profit. Now they are giving them MORE money to open it to the public.

The whole thing is a sham

The stock makes even LESS sense. The public owns less than 13% of all stock capital collectively. Meaning, stocks, 401ks, College funds, etc.

You’re not keeping Tesla afloat - someone bigger (the US government) is actually doing so. You’re not playing the system, they system is playing us. They have been injecting capital and keeping Tesla afloat by boosting the stock (worth More than Toyota? How?) and crafting legislation to benefit Tesla. It’s ridiculous

Wow you really got me there, nice “I’m rubber, you’re glue” comeback. Like I said before, I’m comfortable arguing with toddlers. I don’t respect their opinions on nuanced topics though as toddlers generally lack critical thinking skills. You and my son have a lot in common, is it the senility from old age?

Went to three hospitals this weekend rounding. It’s been busy but the pleasure of driving my S Plaid made it fun. None of the hospitals burned to the ground fortunately.

Putting it bluntly you won't know when, you won't know where and it may not even happen tp you but keeping EVs outside as far as possible from any buildings when parked and especially when charging is the best advise I can offer.
