New myBMW version
Found this on the XM forum. Updated app version with some new functionality including open/close windows when in Digital Key Plus range.

I downloaded it but haven’t been able to figure out the windows down feature. It’s not showing on mine.

BMW says: How can I air-condition my BMW with the remote services of the My BMW App app? Depending on the country of delivery, model and equipment, you can ventilate, air-condition or heat your BMW immediately or at a depart time via the remote services in the My BMW app. To air-condition your BMW immediately, tap on the fan icon in the "Vehicle" tab and confirm with "Start". To start ventilation, air conditioning or heating at a departure time, select "Plan ventilation" (Hub "Remote Services"), set a departure time and send it to your vehicle. For your BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, select "Charging & Climate Timer" (Hub "Electric Mobility") to activate the air conditioning at the departure time. Note: For heating, your BMW needs the special equipment "Remote Engine Start" (SA 1CR) or "Parking heater" (SA 536 or SA 4NB). I have a 520i and control my auxiliary heater with the app. |

When I had a plug in hybrid Full Size Range Rover...if the battery was low or empty, I could still remote start the ICE and get the air or heat going. For some reason BMW does not allow this on plug in hybrids, but BMW allows remote start engine for ICE. Strange! |

I saw the update and installed it but I don't see how windows can be opened and/or closed through the MyBMW app.
Can anyone point out how to access this updated functionality? |

You must be basically right next to the car, and then this option appears in the same area as the remote control parking option in the app.

Not really seeing when doing this through the app would ever come in handy if I'm basically right by the car in the first place. |

[QUOTE=PsychDoc;31016731]Oh, OK. Not sure what real use this has then, because if I have to be that close to the vehicle I might as well hop in and close the windows myself.

Where did you see that option in the app? If you could post a screenshot perhaps, that would be helpful. I don't see window opening/closing anywhere in the app on my phone.
