Quirky things about certain pop songs
I'm probably the last person to finally hear this lovely song (Our House by Crosby, Stills & Nash) due to my watching House of Ninjas. Anyway, the beautiful chorus comes around and it goes:
"Our house is a very, very, very fine house With two cats in the yard Life used to be so hard Now everything is easy 'cause of you And our La-la, la-la-la-la-la..." So, what the heck is the 'la la la' supposed to symbolize? EDIT: Oh, almost forgot to add that this song was about Nash's relationship at the time w Joni Mitchell when they went out and bought a vase for their California house. Pretty neat. Drive is my fave song from The Cars and I noticed that Ben sang some lyrics incorrectly but for whatever reason they left it in: this was confirmed when Ric sang later on and at 2:44 it's correctly sung as: "...who's gonna hold you down when you shake..." instead of the recording's at 2:39 which sounds something like "...when you lose"? What stuff have you noticed in some songs? EDIT: if you could find the clip, that would be cool too.

Words matter, it's how we communicate.

In The Beatles song Maxwell's Silver Hammer: while singing Paul lets out a little laugh and says it's because John was in the mixing room making faces at him through the window and Paul thought it was funny. The laugh was recorded in the song on the Abbey Road album.
