So I recorded 2 maneuvers. One going in the garage and one leaving the garage. I can activate them both from inside the car it works great. When I open the app and select Remote Control parking I get no dice. I get a screen saying Waiting for available parking maneuver followed by Parking Maneuver Canceled.

Any idea what’s going on?

Do you have your Digital Key Plus set up and active?

I do. Not sure what’s going on here. Is there a lag between recording the maneuver and it being available? Does it have to get uploaded somewhere?

Have you driven the car to the point where it alerts you a saved maneuver is available and then put it into park, gotten out, and accessed the app at that point?

I have the same issue. Asked the sales guy and they don’t know why either.

Yeah. I have a maneuver to start into my garage and one out. If I’m in the car both work just fine. Out of the car I cannot get the remote parking to work.

Are you getting to the point on the app where you raise and lower the phone?

Are you having any phone connection issues with your car? I would try resetting the head unit to see if that fixes it. Kind of sounds like something is glitched either in the car or phone.

Maybe a step closer…I was going through the menus in the car and apparently my Parking Pro isn’t activated.

I’ll see if it activates tomorrow on the road. Don’t know why but it says the car has to be moving in order to be activated.

All the videos I watched I’ve determined when you hit the parking button an option for remote parking should pop up on the idrive. It doesn’t???

Ok i thought it was only me cause my car had the update from BMW. I use to have it working but after the update it stopped.

Maybe after each update the best practice would be to reset the iDrive system in the car, or reconnect the phone to the system. I'm just guessing because I don't have the car yet. Just thinking along the lines of general issues.

I did remove the app and removed the keys. I haven’t done a reset. I also did a update are services and apps. Still same thing.

I haven’t tried it. I did see a post in a Tesla group where a guy used ‘Summon’ because it was raining. His Tesla hit another car in the parking lot and he is waiting to find out damage through insurance. Based on my hitting a curb incident, I’m not sure I want to rely on the car’s technology for remote parking yet.

I used the remote control the other day when someone parked so close I would have to squeeze in to open my door. The first time I tried it I had the car warming up with remote start (540) and my wife was able to get in on her side of the car. The app kept failing to work, so I shut the car off and had her get out and tried it again. This time it worked flawlessly. I have not tried it since but it definitely did not like someone in the car when using it.

Three things I remember I had to do to get mine to work:

-Connected Drive Parking Assistant subscription.
-Agree to the Privacy Agreement
-Set up My Digital Key.

It works perfectly each time and even though the manual says there should be no occupants in order to operate, it worked flawlessly with my wife inside.

I have a Samsung S20 5G Ultra which does not have the hardware to do the remote parking. Time to upgrade the phone.

I have the S21ultra. What hardware is missing from the S20 ultra that prevents it from running the remote parking through mybmw?

Perhaps the UWB technology that is also needed for digital key plus.
