Clearly there's something going on with the software update currently and that it's not limited by hardware (given the folks here who have it). When I get a chance I'm going to call BMW and escalate if I get that default answer.

I called BMW (I was able to purchase it in iDrive but it has never worked). They “opened a ticket.” That was probably 2 weeks ago. Still no dice and did not work even after dealer updated software.

I called BMW and opened a ticket today, although I had to be a bit forceful about it because the agent said the tickets aren't generally for things that aren't showing up, they're for things you have purchased but aren't working. I pointed out the logical flaw in that approach and he agreed to open the ticket. He said resolution was going be unknown though but that the technical team would pick it up.

Nothing, I got a generic note today from customer service saying my request was being escalated. I am just going to guess this is a weeks/months problem not a days problem so I don't expect a quick resolution.

I'm going back to driving my car and having fun!

Resolution news: Email on my ticket today says:

"Please be advised that the Parking Assist Professional will be available for purchase once the new Remote Software upgrade is available at the end of May. We apologize for the inconvenience."

I put my ticket in two ways, one on the phone and then by sending an email and referencing the ticket I put in on the phone. The second one got the result.

Has anyone had any updates regarding remote control parking? I took my car to the dealer for this issue and, despite many tests and a software update, they were unable to fix anything.
They said something about the car not sending its location to BMW, which seems to be affecting remote parking and the automatic time zone setting. They also said they found no hardware faults.
Maybe someone else has had some luck…

When I was doing MyBMW beta testing, I submitted a bug with the car geolocation issue. It couldn’t find the closest BMW dealer which was the use case I was assigned. Probably why the automatic time doesn’t work as well as the parking.

what firmware version you on? after I got updated to 3/2024.25 mine working just fine

I'm on the 11/2023.58 software version.
Just to clarify, dubb13, you were on a previous software version and remote control parking was not working, and now that you are on the new version, it has started to work?

yes I was on 07/2024.53 and parking asst pro and the welcome light update was not on the app store after update they both appeared
03/2024.25 I was able to buy and activate both with no issues

This is a software issue with the vehicle. Please visit dealer and ask them to review the SIB that pertains to this concern of parking maneuver gets cancelled when using the MYBMW remote app

Is there a new software version, Freshxdough?

Fun thing now is getting an alert from MyBMW every day telling me this service is about to expire…which never worked.

My BMW app for my i5 shows my street address, but the address is 1 digit off.

All past BMWs we've had with Connected Drive/My BMW app, our address was correct.

The issue occurs with a specific software level. And yes, there’s always new software. We’re on 24-03 right now at dealer software. RSU is usually one behind

Just FYI - my car was upgraded to 2024/03.42 today and I am able to buy the Parking Assistant Professional (which I did). When I get a chance to play with it, I'll update this thread if I have any issues.
