It should still work, though. If you open the app you should find the parking maneuvers there to execute (it worked for me despite the continue on myBMW app option not displaying on the iDrive screen).

I read somewhere that the wireless charger could kill the ultra wideband antenna in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Is there any truth to that and could that be my problem?

There was a reported issue with the wireless charging interfering/overheating/disabling the NFC, but this is not the same as UWB. Plus it was corrected with updated iOS software.

So started playing with remote parking and realized that if you do not get the 1 and 2 spots to line up on your phone just right it will cancel the parking maneuver. Guess they want to avoid any PUI's. Parking under the influence.

I did have the maneuver cancelled twice for the first time trying it. I just tried again and eventually it worked to the point where I got the 2 dots. After doing a very sloppy job with the dots the first time I got the cancel again so did another retry. Took my time and lined up the dots perfect and everything worked great. Did some more dot testing and noticed if I did not get the dots right it would cancel the maneuver.

Another issue I just had was a notification pop up when starting the remote parking to connect waze in the car. This pop up was canceling the parking app.

I tried the automatic backup assistant. I sat it the car and it maneuvered out of my driveway between two other vehicles. The problem was that I am in the center of a cul de sac, and it continued to back up down the street. Good thing I was in the car. It cannot tell where my driveway ended and the street began.

For anyone whose Remote Control Parking stopped working after the botched software update last week. BMW ConnectedDrive customer service escalated the issue for me just now. They don’t seem to know why the PA Pro flipped to Activating again, nor why the myBMW app remote control parking is not working now. I’ll see what they come back with.

Just got a brand new x7 with parking assistance pro package and found out about this issue first hand. Technician at the dealership couldn’t understand this so they contacted BMW North America. BMW engineers cant seem to understand what the issue is so they had the technician download the data log from my car. After spending a week at the dealership, the engineers have somewhat pin pointed this issue to the how app connects to the car. They tested remote parking with MyBMW app on a new 2024 car with older software version and this feature worked flawlessly. They updated the same car to the newest software update and it still worked. I’ll find out more next week if the BMW engineers have a potential solution for my car.

New update for this issue: After car being left at dealership for 12 days, they manage to contact Connected Drive team to flip my subscription from “Activating” to “Activated”. They thought it would resolve the issue but it didn’t. Car now says “Activated” for all subscription but the “Parking Maneuver Cancelled…” issue still exists via MyBMW app. I have been told that BMW NA will bring this up into one of their technical conferences. I am not hopeful that it will get fixed anytime soon.

For what it’s worth…mine still says activating! It spent a week in the shop. The tech was great and he spent a lot of time back and forth with BMW.

In the end they could not get it past that activating screen. So the BMW rep said they were escalating this issue to HQ. I took the car home and just asked they let me know when a fix is inbound. It has nothing to do with our phones. It’s a bug in the car’s software.

Mine still says activating. I use the automatic reversing every day. I have used the self parking as well. I think my screen is just stuck.

I have an all day appt at my dealer this Monday for them to make a TSARA Case with BMW to figure out my PA Pro not activating issue and app remote control parking not working anymore. (Since that failed/recalled new software update.) ConnectedDrive customer service could only see a provisioning issue after their remote review of my account/car. They couldn’t push a fix remotely apparently.

Yup, same here. It used to work and the PA Pro was active in iDrive. Since the failed/recalled software upgrade a couple weeks ago, I get that error in the app and the iDrive says Activating… once again for PA Pro.

Same here. In Canada this is part of the package, does not require extra activation.
I am unsure whether it is a broken software update or something. Does not work on either an S24 or S23 ultra. Also seems like the app at times requires a reboot to do things like pre-climate.

Okay, just had my car at the dealer today. They fixed PA Pro and it now says Activated in iDrive. They said it was needing a recall item done. I didn’t know there was a recall even. They updated the system software to 11/2023.58 from 11/2023.20. That update fixes the issue it appears. Now when I open remote control parking in the app, it quickly shows the option to move the car out of a parking spot. Like it should.

Thanks, Rockville. 11/2023.58 must be new as my car was in last week for this and other glitches and there was no update then (I'm at 11/2023.47). Going back in Thursday for them to apply this and see if it helps.
