Got an S23 Ultra - same exact issue. UWB is on and working, it feels like some bug with Android.

I tried reset g the idrive a few times and nothing. Holding the power in for 30 seconds yes.

I upgraded to Parking Assistant Pro a week ago on my 2024 540i and it activated fine. Now, after that short lived new software update that BMW withdrew after pushing it out, my car now says Activating… this feature again. Just says that for days now, since the software update withdraw. Cannot get it to activate again.

As a follow up. My car gives me the option to record a new path, but the option to use the myBMW app isn’t showing. My actual app shows Remote Control Parking button still, but no matter how close I am to the car, it errors out just as the first post in this thread says. Annoying on a two week old car and using up the trial period of PA Pro.

All the videos I watched I’ve determined when you hit the parking button an option for remote parking should pop up on the idrive. It doesn’t???

It does not necessarily say continue remote parking via app in iDrive (I know many videos online do show this option, though). Mine didn't say that. But, if you have parking maneuvers available to choose from on the screen you should be able to turn off the car, get out, close the doors, open the app, and find those maneuvers in the app. Worked perfectly for me.

So, what exactly are you trying to do? You cannot record a path using the app. You also might not see the remote parking via myBMW app option on the screen (I didn't, but I know a lot of videos show that). But, if there are parking maneuvers to choose from on the iDrive screen, you should be able turn off the car, exit, close the door, open the app, and find those maneuvers in the app for remote execution.

I will be getting a phone with the needed UWB tomorrow and will start to finally play with the remote parking. Anything I discover about the issues plaguing people I will be sure to do a follow up. Right now it is all a shot in the dark for me.

I think you'll like it. Not necessarily something you'll use every day, but quite a "wow factor" seeing an empty car drive itself into a parking space.

I’m trying to use my iPhone 15 to allow me to manually park my car via the app when not in the car. Not use a saved maneuver even. This video shows it should just be an option to manually park with the iPhone myBMW app. The app Remote Control Parking button won’t connect to the car now.

Yes, you should be able to move the car in a straight line forward and backwards as shown in the video without an available parking maneuver in iDrive. I am not sure why you aren't seeing this option. Have you checked your privacy settings in iDrive to make sure they are set to the most liberal option (something like all plus analytics or some wording like that)?

PS I'm assuming you have digital key plus setup as well?

Yup, I have that liberal option selected and my digital key plus is active. The issue has come up since the paused 11/2023.44 update and revert back to 11/2023.20. Seems to have messed up PA Pro is all I can surmise. May need to go to dealer.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I knew the answer. I know others have reported similar types of issues in the past that seem to spontaneously resolve themselves in days (or sometimes longer) without explanation. Possibly the Genius at your local dealer could assist further. I hope you can figure it out, as it is a cool feature to have.

Most logical explanation is the rescinded update for the car. That's why I suggested trying to update the apps. Only other solution is to hope they fix the update and push it out real soon.

Agreed. I checked and there are no apps to update when I clicked search. A 30 second reboot didn’t work, nor removing my BMW ID from iDrive, nor redoing my digital key plus. (This is all a bit new to me, the app activation and such. I just came from a 2021 Audi A6 Premium Plus. Activation wasn’t a thing. I wasn’t sure if user error was involved here. Seems not.)

I could try the 2-3 minute hold down volume button reboot, but that clears all my presets and such info I assume. Might need to do it though, as the dealer will do that anyhow I’m sure.

Mine use to say continue on my bmw app in the drive. But it doesn’t anymore.
