Received mine this past Tuesday. I selected Vegas Red sight unseen and it exceeds my expectations! Has a touch of orange (a burnt orange) in both direct sun and fluorescent light, and changes to wine red under cloudy skies.

Another car is a 530i photonic blue.

Quick question: Was the truck in the above picture at the dealer delivery? I'm just wondering why they don't ship cars with the protective film on the hood and roof.

I picked up a 24 X5 a couple of weeks ago, and there are swirl marks on the hood. All of my previous BMWs came with white protective film that I asked them not to remove.

I ordered the car from a dealership in southern California and arranged for private delivery to the Bay Area up north. Due to the size of the truck, it was not possible to unload the vehicle at my doorstep.

I picked up a 24 X5 a couple of weeks ago, and there are swirl marks on the hood. All of my previous BMWs came with white protective film that I asked them not to remove...

Three years ago I did the same, but the protective film was quite firmly attached and I worried about damaging the paintwork. Fortunately the car was delivered in pristine condition without the protective film.

P.S. I had Paint Protection Film (PPF) applied to the i5 two days ago.

Looks amazingly good! Thanks for the pictures. I drove by my dealership yesterday to see if I could spot my car but no luck. They must have it around back or indoors. I should be able to pick it up late next week (my SA is currently out of town).

The consumption was quite OK. 5.8 l/100 km means 40.55 mpg.

You must have a different sun in Germany, or good photo settings, because I’ve never seen my Fire Red i5 looking like that…….🤔😉

I'm generally happy so far. But it is still a bit early for a firm conclusion.
What bothers me: the automatic locking of the doors when driving away!!! Haven't been able to deactivate it yet. I feel like I'm in a rental car.

Hey all!

Just put a deposit on a Vegas Red with Black/Atlas Grey merino M60 and 20” 940Ms. I’m in Canada and back into BMW since my lease expired on a 2015 M235i (also Red!). Had a Kia for 4+ years and then recently a Tesla Model 3 Performance. Great to be back into a BMW. fit and finish is sooo much better than Tesla.

Car is fully loaded, only thing I believe it doesn’t have is M Adaptive suspension/rear wheel steering and universal garage door opener. Decided to lease as I’m hoping in 3-4 years there will be better advancements in battery tech and here in Can/US most manufacturers are moving to NACS charge port, which will be very useful as right now it’s a bit of a mess with Tesla chargers and regular chargers.

Was deciding between the M60 and the i4 M50. I drove both back to back and the i4 just feels cheap. It’s a nice car, drives exceptionally well, but wow the M60 is just a dream. And hey you gotta enjoy what you can while you can!

Should be getting it around April 5-6. It’s in stock at another dealer so they have to ship it here. I’ll post some pics when I get it.

Congrats!
Pretty sure all M60’s have rear wheel steering. Mine does and I didn’t spec any extra suspension packages…..

I stand corrected! Thank you. My SA thought you needed the M version to get rear axle steering. I’m very stoked to hear I’ll get it in mine!

You’ll be glad for the rear steer too. I thought it was a gimmick, but it works!
You can see it too in side mirrors when manoeuvring….i don’t know the actual full degrees the rears turn, but looks a lot….makes a big difference parking and negotiating small spaces.
