Feels like my G31 is smaller than my F11 that was smaller than my E61... Measurements may paint another picture but then I don't know where it has grown. Hood? |

Looking at the engine lineup....no more v8 also for the M5. The XM will have the S58.....why BMW should develop a new engine only for the M5 when even the next gen X5/6M are likely to adopt the S58?
I'm sad, really sad.

EV cars will be easily restricted by software to comply by government regulations. I don’t think there will be hacking of DME to alter “boost levels” |

If they implement technology to limit vehicles to the posted speed limit it will add a lot of time to trips in the USA, where we tend to think of the signs on Interstates as suggestions.
Anything less than 10mph over the sign and you're basically a rock in the middle of a river of traffic flowing around you. |

My 530e DD drives like a mid-size luxury vehicle and I am very happy with that. But I can't help blushing every time I look at the ///M badges on the front fenders.

BMW already announced a 7-series with a V8 version. A V8 M550 or it might be called M560 is coming. BMW has been working on expanding their market share for the past decade by bringing different versions of their fleet to various age groups... They have a big clientele globally for the M550 Sport, so I don't think they are interested in losing them to MB or Audi or others... My two cents!

Boooo.............
Can you confirm whether or not the next gen M5 is getting a 6 or 8 motor ? Some say the I6, some the S58. There is a spy video of a "supposed" 2024 M5 running around Munich. It certainly sounds like a V8.
