Just curious, what would you have liked to see?

I don’t know - something good?

Not this slab sided cheap looking car, with massive over hangs, a sloping rear that looks like it’s ripping off the CLS/A “squatting to poop” rear, and a front end that doesn’t look like an after thought.

You have a very angular truck/blunt front end that looks like it was taken from the 2 series and pasted on this body. None of the proportions look right - it just looks disjointed and cheap.

Top it off with massive cost cuts to the interior of these cars while prices increase, what are you paying for? An IPad screen, a steering wheel and Chinese style? There are plenty of cars that can do that for way cheaper.
It’s an abomination, but not as big of an abortion as the XM

Was hoping for a powerful ICE for intro in the UK, looks like 255bhp will be most powerful one for intro. Thanks

If only the panamera was a bit more affordable

Beautiful. It has vibes from E60, E39, G30.Future classic.

I'd rather have a bold front facia like the XM, but this is still great.

Great proportions, it looks very expensive and harmonious.

This would probably cost way more to build to BMW, especially on the inside - considering it will look like i7, so I hope the prices don't go up too much.

I bet the prices DO go up!

With the way inflation has been going , my guess is that they will definitely be an increase. As a new model I wouldn’t expect much of a discount either if any at least initially

I’m not expecting all the options to be available day1 either , may have to wait for the following year before everything you’d expect to be offered.
A
Chip shortages still around so that may impact options aswell at least initially

I wonder how much bigger it will be as I doubt for one moment it will the same size as the outgoing g30

For those of you in the UK planning on ordering, if you want a cheap personal plat there are plenty of them starting AG60 up for grabs…..

Must be. The HUD and dash is certainly from the G30 (looks just like my dash) and we know the G60 will be full screen iD8.5

F90 LCI is BMW's best looking vehicle sold right now.

This leaked photo looks promising. Seems like BMW might have gotten the memo their design language went to sh*t with other models.

Can't remember where I read this years ago (maybe one of my BMW history coffee table books), but the exterior design strategy was intended to alternate between revolution and evolution so it would retain typical BMW design characteristics while being refreshed every 7 years. 1st/3rd/5th/etc generation was supposed to be revolutionary design change and the even generations between them were supposed to be evolutionary. The G30 is the 7th gen 5er so if that strategy still applied then the G60 as the 8th gen should be evolutionary from the G30. Maybe I see that, maybe I don't.

It’s one picture from a bad angle. I feel like you’re reading a lot into it. Maybe correct. But maybe not. And it’s hard to have a really original design. All these guys feed off one another’s designs. Just like music.

So everyone who buys this thing has Chinese tastes (according to this guy)

Taste is a subjective matter, don't like it don't buy it. Perhaps you are channeling your racism into car discussions.

Maybe they should play it safe with an amorphous blob shape and one tablet to operate everything? Then they could sell tons of them. I mean Kia's look like some BMWs now. And they sell well because people like them. This is not the best shot angle of the i5 to begin with, but the majority of the people on this thread don't exactly agree with you.
