No petrol or diesel option in the UK. Are they trying to push people towards Audi and Mercedes?

Maybe it's still coming?!
For us only i5 and diesel. The later others in summer and autumn.

Oh no!!! That‘s blasphemy. Please bring it back immediately or latest on the LCI. That is one of the coolest things I love about my F31 and the presenter made valid points why it is such a handy feature - despite the Touring pedigree.
No individually opening rear window is a deal breaker for me.

not to mention the awful piano black panels with haptic buttons in the interior, and we lost the separate opening glass on the hatch…just insane. not that these will be coming to the states anyways, but it doesn’t give me much hope for the M5 touring

Not according to Auto Express or Autocar magazines. According to them the UK will not be getting any pure petrol or any of the diesels. Only the 530e RWD coming in the immediate future with the 530e AWD and (i believe) 550e AWD coming at some point in the future.

The rear is quite bulky design wise, just seems like a lot of metal there and all sloping up

For the U.K. buyers, for both saloon and estate , if you can’t or don’t want to go with an EV, the power trains offered are very limited compared to the previous generation

All part of the push to EVs which I think were now starting to see some pushback on

Whatever your view on this car, I don’t think this is their best both design wise or ergonomically or Quality wise (in places)

You really gotta have a strong desire for having this car to buy it new.

I was looking at the interior quality in the i5 M60 at my dealer last week and i thought the quality was pretty good.Maybe a bit more hard plastic on the lower part of the doors compared to the G30.

I think a bigger issue is the deletion of options that were available on the G30 like soft close doors and the illuminated M door sill plates that are both not available on the G60.It seems ridiculous that a car costing this much doesn’t have soft close doors.

The car i was in had the Merino leather seats and one thing i did notice was the dash and upper part of the doors were done in a very soft leather like material.I don’t see a listing for the Nappa leather dash option that was available in the G30 for the G60.So if this new dash material is now fake leather then BMW has done a really good job making it feel like real leather.

The new flat bottom M steering wheel looks really good.I’m still surprised that they are now putting the M stitching on M performance cars now.It does make the steering wheel look so much nicer.

This looks amazing! My buddy has a Merc wagon and I love it. We’ll see what finally makes it to the states but if they can get the fuel economy and performance dialed like they have in the 540i, this would be very intriguing!

I’m prob the only one….but I prefer the saloon esp in Fire Red. The estate just doesn’t suit that colour….

I’ve had a ‘16 535D estate which I got after trading in my M5, and was best car I’ve had in all aspects…..buuuuut still not sure about the rear SIZE of this new estate….

(Did I mention my Fire Red M60 saloon is in pre delivery inspection…&#128521

I don't see the boxy design. I see a back end that slopes to almost a point in the back. I like it from the front to about the rear door handles, then its

Yeah I was laughing so hard, no explanation of why it's a better idea or anything just: less buttons be happy about it 🤣

Almost as if the G60 was designed estate first, saloon second. Looks so good.

I'm trying to like this (because BMW is my #1), but compared to the A6/RS6 from Audi, this doesn't look as good.

I will say it is better than the upcoming E wagon
