Considering a CPO Cayman instead.

Love many things about this new 5 series, but the bland and ordinary exterior styling for a car in this price range is not for me. Well specified, the M variant will be well over $100,000 and for that price, I also want a pretty face.
Spot on. Most of us truly appreciate these machines, how they drive and what they can do. But for the past few years every change they make has some bizarre feature you have to get past in order to buy the car. Once you do ignore that ugly front end or some odd body angles then of course you enjoy driving the car, because it's a BMW and they still do drivability extremely well. I even love the interiors, even with the iD8 & 8.5. And I still may consider an i4 or i5 within the next couple of years, because I know they are great machines. But it's annoying that you can't buy a new BMW that you are fully in love with. I have an X7 M60 and I still can't look at the front of the car and think anything other than, man, I wish they would have used the same front end as the X5/6. I love every other thing about that vehicle. It is awesome in every other way. No excuse to do what they did there. Wasn't enough to keep me from buying it because I think it's far and away the best 7 row SUV out there (IMHO), but I have to consciously ignore the headlights every time I give it a bath or walk up to it in a parking lot. I don't hate the front end, but I know they took a step backwards with it instead of moving forward with it. I still have the same opinion about the 3 and 4 series too. If they put the front end from the 3.0 CSL on those things, they're damn near perfect. But.... And now this i5 with it's middle aged Dad bod design...

Can these be ordered without adaptive cruise to avoid the rectangular sensor?

ACC + Stop & Go is a standalone option or included in Exec package so it would seem it’s possible to avoid this. But I’ve never had it on one of our past BMWs so none had the grill wart.

Is the G60 on long term display at the Welt or museum? I’ll be in Munich in September and want to go by to see it.
