Anybody get the Garmin D2?
I was lucky enough to get one for Christmas. It's pretty nice as a backup to in cockpit navigation. I'm just starting out, so it's nice in case some major things go wrong.
As for a watch, it's well, pretty boring. Any other pilots in here check it out yet?

The Garmin Pilot app on the iPad is nice... we fly with a much more robust wireless GPS receiver and BT from that to the iPad just like the watch can... its purely for backup incase all hell breaks loose on the aircraft, but it is cool nonetheless.

I got a free subscription with the watch, so I'm checking it out.
I already have a foreflight subscription, so I'll probably stick with that. Like you said, just in case.
