ICE cars: midgrade (89 octane) or premium (91/93 octane)?

I believe they're both within manufacturer's recommendation. Is there any real advantage to using premium or will the car run fine with midgrade?

Sounds like both are acceptable based on the manual. I’m no mechanic but it’s Interesting that they talk about a “knocking” sound with the lower fuel grade but that it has no impact on engine life.

I've only been putting E10 into the little machine for a long time.

We get high-quality fuel here. The car is meant to work in all countries. US 89 octane is OK to run, but 91+ is recommended for the best reliability.

if you have access to 91 or better, use it.
