Great looking car! I like the white and black combo too, especially with the dark tinting.

Finally swapping my i4M50 for an i5M60, should be here late next week or beginning of the following, settled on Oxide Grey as I loved my Donington Grey M5 and Oxide is quite similar. Will post some pics when here. ☺️

First time taking it out to the trails. Absolutely loving this car.
I haven't seen many posts about the roof rack, but it installs easily and looks great. |

That M5 was sweet. Had to be tough to let go of. Love the Oxide Grey.

It's been great. The first time installing it may take about 10 minutes to adjust the length, but after that, taking it off and reinstalling is easy with the included torque wrench. I only take it off when I'm not planning to take my bike anywhere for a couple of weeks, since it does add some wind noise. No whistling noises from it though, which I’ve experienced with roof racks on my past vehicles.

So the real question is how I rate the i4M50 against the M5? |

Awesome looking car!
I’ve found my Fire (Vegas) Red to be a bit of a chameleon… It can go from sunset orange, to bronze, bright red and then to deep red, almost within minutes…. (Bearing in mind this is UK weather- all seasons in one day. lol) I wasn’t sure at first, but love it now! |

I’ve driven the i5 M60. Its cool. Fast and handles way better than you’d think with its weight. Also very comfortable. But I’ve got an M550 now and I’m just not ready to make that jump yet. I’m usually last to leave the party, not first to arrive. If you forget the emotional debate between EV and the feel of ICE V8, transmissions shifts, etc, my biggest complaint on the new 5 is the height. I think it would turn me on more if it sat lower to the ground. I don’t mind that it’s huge in general, it’s just the height. i4 M50 looks like it sits much lower.

I was nervous making the switch to the i4M50 but owning a business the move to an EV made financial sense. The first thing you notice is the lack of noise everywhere, it’s not till the normal mechanicals are removed do you realise how much noise they make, then there’s the smoothness and the M5 wasn’t a harsh lumpy driving machine it was total harmony between engine and gearbox but compared to an EV it’s crude. Then we get to the instant torque, I am now well use to it but to begin with it was shocking, sure the M5 would barrel past it by 90mph if we both punched the throttle from 30mph but that instant shove did bring giggles. On the road you don’t notice the M5 being the better handling car, I reckon its size compared to the i4 counteracted the smaller cars extra weight, I feel happy pushing each down a twisty road but I have no doubt if you push that bit harder the M5 will shine way more but you will be minus your license to enjoy it. Finally there’s the running costs, I know most people will dismiss talking about such things when you are willing to pay £100K on a car but it still needs to be said. I spent about £230-240 per month driving the M5 yet even with electricity costs near its highest the i4 seldom gets above £65 per month because I always charge at home though some areas in the UK get there electricity significantly cheaper than I am paying so the saving could have been even greater. After two years of driving an EV I am a complete convert 100% which is why it’s an i5M60 next and not running back to another ICE car despite there being many wonderful examples on sale today. |
