Schedules option at the bottom and search EU to North America by route.

Shows 22nd departure date. I believe my car is loading on Themis as well. Next Ship is “Morning Chant” scheduled for next week departure, 27th. So if your car is being built right now, but it’s not at the Port today, you should see it in transit next week.

Still waiting for the status change to “In Transit” LOL.

I will be pissed if at the end of day my car is not on the ship.

I guess in your case it is highly likely your car will not be on the boat today. Probably the one next week.

My car has been at the port since September 13 and it looks like it will miss this vessel. I called BMW Genius and they say the vessel remains unassigned for my vehicle. Next ship leaves Oct 4 or so. And there are two ships that week so its a good bet my car will make one of them. I remember waiting about a month after arrival at the port for my i4 to ship last year.

Even if you car got here in the US tomorrow, your dealer wouldn't be able to sell to you until Oct 28, so don't feel disappointed - there is still more than a month to go before the launch.

BMW also has Baltimore and Brunshwick as their east coast ports, so the cars could be on a ship to these destinations as well. In fact, my 840 entered the country from Baltimore.

ps: mine is still at the port as well

This. In fact a dealer employee who posts on other threads here has said they have to keep the cars hidden/camouflaged until launch. I just saw them at the Welt. If you liked it enough to order based only on photos, I think you’ll like it better in person.

Thanks for the note. I just checked again and my status changed too, after 11 AM EDT on 9/22. Now in transit.

I may be wrong, but I would advise those who did not make it to keep checking back through tomorrow. BMW is very late updating these shipment tracks. I see people here whose car got to the port a few days before mine - I wouldn't be shocked if they update records late. I thought I had missed it when I looked at 11 AM today, then looked again after seeing others who got late notice.

Also, thought of you not on the East Coast may be on a different ship. BMW typically uses a different shipping line altogether for West Coast deliveries (I am not sure about midwest)

I wasn't able to get a confirmation from my dealer, but funny enough I got an answer from the official BMW USA twitter account: (see attached screencap)

Hopefully that settles it.

Much appreciated! Really looking forward to being able to see/drive one soon and subsequently ordering.

Car Arrived 2024 i5 M60

My car has arrived at the USA port. It is a shame I can’t get it until 10/28. It would be interesting to understand what BMW is trying to accomplish by making us wait.

i5 orders in Europe

It is really interesting how people get VIN and check their cars, because in EU that’s not possible yet . I preorder on 1st July and dealer inform me that production will start November or December and I will have VIN earliest at November.
Can I request from BMW some document that order is accepted and planned production week , is it better to contact bmw directly or my dealer ?

That’s what I ordered https://webfrontend.evecp.bmw.cloud/b74f917

Thanks

From working with international container shipments for years, the shipping companies (Wallenius Wilhelmsen for BMW) take up to 3 days after port departure to confirm what is on board. I don’t recall if this was the case with my F30 and G30 shipments several years ago.

I kept waffling between the i5 and a Lucid Air Touring, so ended up just putting a deposit on a dealer build. Production date August 4th. Still in transit to VPC.
Mineral White / Black Veganza
20” wheels
Premium Package
Sky Lounge

I would have picked a different color and merino leather, but hopefully the Veganza will be okay. I might do a partial wrap with the white.
