I hear that. If I'm not interested in someone, I usually just flat-out tell them I'm not interested, thanks anyway, etc. I wouldn't even "just hang out". I never led anyone on (at least I hope I never did).

Girls have to stop being "nice" and think they're getting just a friend by going out on a date. Because if I asked some girl out and she said yes and we had a date, in my book, that means she's interested.

You're probably right...I think you took what I said out of context, but I see what you're saying. I guess I should probably rephrase that. Let's see...I don't like the "just friends" excuse. What I meant was I'd rather hear flat-out she's just plain old not interested. There...I hope that clears that up!

EDIT: And if she doesn't come right out and say "I'm not interested" or "let's be just friends" (which is a good hint, but girls don't always say this), you've got to admit it's difficult to interpret where she stands.

so sooo true. I got my crew for friends. Ever invite a hot female "friend" to watch PPV boxing or football???? I wanna be able to fart, curse, burp, say outrageous shit and have a great time. With a hot chick there, there is always the natural instinct to make a good impression and think twice about everything you say and do so that maybe you will get a piece. In other words, maybe you will become a "friend" with benefits. Can any straight male here honesty disagree with me on this???

Who are these straight males with entourages of female friends??? Do they exist on other planets? In my experience it simply doesn't exist on Earth. If it does, then it is an exception to the rule, IMO.

There should be a "feel out" period though and the only way to gauge compatibility is through dating. I don't think Bella did anything wrong here: she went out to with him a few times, to gauge compatibility, and ended up walking away. What was really unique in this situation is that wanna-be baller busting out the I'm rich routine and offered to pay for a $7k vacation. Give him props for imagination but nothing for execution. Homie's all talk and no action. Take that out of the equation and what you're left with is casual dating. That's part of what we all do.

There isn't a pill that instantly tells you if you're going to love someone... that's the beauty of the chase is that it's a game; a FUN game at that. For those of you sick of games well then good luck… It’s a necessary part of human emotion. I'd prefer the concept of gamesmanship over rushing into any serious relationship any day. This happened to me a lot in high school: if I'd ask a girl out and she gave me some kind of "just friends" excuse, usually that's the last I'd ever hear from her. She'd steer clear of me and I wouldn't exactly say I made a friend!

Nowadays, it's kind of the other way around, because if I ask a girl out and she gives me a "just friends", chances are that's the last I'll ever see her. I just don't think a "friends" scenerio works in reality.

You are about to move to another state and you KNOW that you are not interested in ANY relationships. Thats what I mean. Of course I am not referring to the whole process. Well i was interested in him, its not like i was going out on these dates just to get free food, heck, my family owns a restaurant, i can have free food anytime i want.

However, due to the circumstances of me leaving in a few months, why start something i cant finish. Im not keen on the idea of long distance relationships. Plus, this is my chance to really get out there and find out who i am, the last thing i need is a guy to miss or think about.

Plus, i was looking for faults in him. I was probably subconsciencly trying to find stuff wrong with him, cause inside i knew i didnt really want to be with him. O well, it ended well.. so its all good!
