MAX took it easy in the tricky wet today and lifted most of the time , so he ran at +/- 75 %
He heard non-stop from Red Bull pitwall : "CAUTION" MAX !!!

If it sunday rains , coming from the back row he can lap the rest

It's going to be crowded at the back of the field.
These drivers have to start at the back:

Verstappen
Leclerc
Norris
Ocon
Bottas
Schumacher

But what I don't understand, from what I understand, LEC only gets a new MGUK and ES (energy storage) and gets set back 15 places.
Why not do all (new PU, everything) for only a few places extra?
Sounds like a brilliant new strategic move....

Idk... limiting damage? I'm sure they're expecting lots more failures in the next 9 races.

Meanwhile Redbull pre-emptively puts a new PU for Max even though he already has a new PU in his vehicle. Now they have two new engines to finish the season.

Apparently there's a loophole in the rules (well, actually it's just the rules...):
If you change one day for instance parts that sets you back 15 places, and the next day another part that sets you back 5 places, you're still being set back 15 places?

Can anyone confirm that?

I would have thought that whatever you change at different times during FP and quali would add up to a total that reflects on the race itself but yes I'm beginning to see now with the reduced penalty points for adding further certain components.
