Well he almost did it. Tip of the hat to Hammy for almost holding him off.

The drive by Max today showed his growth as a driver. In years past you would have expected him to be too aggressive and make a mistake at the end

I hope that all the speculative "RB 2nd driver curse" outings are now in the past. PER is having the best season of his career and does his job as 2nd driver very well.

True, but they've been honest before the race that they're not yet competative enough.

As for VER win: I think this is one of his best and I think his most important yet.

The only mistake (possible mistake?) he imho made was using hard compound for his 2nd set.
Either they then didn't know it should be a 2 stop race (like so many others), or, they are even more strategic and cunning, they used hard compound after their 1st stop to create misinformation that they would complete it in 2 stops
But yellow compound would have lasted that run between 1st and 2nd stop (and he would have been even faster, but then MERC would have immediately know their strategy and could have matched theirs to it)

wow what an intense race that was!

well done to Max and RB for putting things better all together..

as Lewis said Merc' needs to improve straight line speed somehow.. A1 will cover that flaw in the following 2 races a bit but top speed deficit is soo visible.. i can understand why Merc' didnt pit both of their driver for the second time but for Bottas it was visible that he wont able to hang on while Perez was about to make his move.. Merc' should have pitted Bottas for the fastest lap.. anyways this weekend was better than previous one for Merc's i believe they ll sort things out for better results..

McLarens were flying really.. i guess overtake of the day goes to Norris on Alonso right after Ric overtook him.. McLarens looking pretty composed thats awesome!

Ferraris were lost during the race but it was like that in previous races as well..

looking forward for the next one..

Congrats to VER and Red Bull - such a great drive and strategy.

There is a true fight in a year that most thought to be a throw-away while we all await the 2022 new regulations....and this year is turning out to be the sharpest end of the grid to be challenged.

Handed is an understatement. Then Sir 7ewis gave it up at the end of the race, didn't even fight for it. Maybe it's not the technology battle, just the worst and quickest drop off by a WC in the history of the sport.

Too bad MAX was trapped by the wind in T1 . Later he wasn't the only one ...

In the last 5 laps , MAX was a lot faster . In one lap he was 2.3 sec faster ..
At the end ,7Hammy never had a chance ...

Checo vs Bottas was a great fight as well !
