Agreed! It looks awesome to me. But I do see room for improvement in the wheel category. The 21’s pictured are great, however for the rest of the line …meh. I would like to see some black wheel options in the future. Hate to have to go 3rd Party for something so rudimentary.

I got to see the new i5 today, entirely by luck. I was driving back to my office from lunch (which brings me past my dealer) and did a double take as I saw one drive past me in the other direction. Pinged my sales manager who said there was someone there from BMW NA doing training with it so I stopped by.
I did not get to sit in it (and did not take pictures as there were signs on it asking not to take pictures, so didn't want to cause an issue for my dealer who invited me to come see it). It was black with red leather. Think it was the i5 40 not the M60 from the appearance, but all the badges (and the roundel on the hood even) were covered in black tape. My impression of it when it drove past me was that it sat very high. Headlights and back end looked pretty good. Up close, I definitely can confirm it looks better in person. I particularly like the hood and the lines from the roundel. Tail lights look nice. Did not seem as tall sitting up close. Only looked inside--did not get to sit in it. Hard to judge the interior really as a result, but I continue to be concerned that it is not as nice inside materials and amenity wise as the G30. Still not sure I really like the new look, but it looked better in person for sure. Also confirmed the M560E that was originally planned for next MY is gone. |

Some of the reviews posted on here by various outlets actually showed some good video of the car which were improvements on the various still pictures. I wasn't sold on the 5 when it was released but the videos give me hope it's going to actually look pretty decent in person.

A model S Plaid is low and sleek, with a frunk, and the design is over 10 years old. Why is this i5 so tall, awkward and bulky? |

I just visited my dealer today. I took a few pictures of a white i5 and one in Brooklyn Grey.
They also had a Carbon Black M60 inside. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of that one. Personally I don’t think the white suits the car. The Brooklyn Grey car look awesome IMO. Still not 100% sure that I will make the switch though. |

I have yet seen a Dark Graphite Metallic i5, so I think mine will be the first one in US (or in the world)

I'm pretty sure that the pictures on the first post of this thread are Dark Graphite Metallic.

I saw a BSM I5 M60 at the dealer today and it looked great in person. It’s a really big car…I was surprised at the dimensions.

They have a grey i5M60 at the airport in Copenhagen and it’s really fine in person. A little agressive and weird but still miles better than the Ix or anything from MB.

In Germany, the nationwide presentation of the G60 was at dealers today. Since my pictures didn't work, here's a current post from bimmertoday.
