There is one in my neighborhood . 1-2 times/week I take him for a walk, run and jump ..
They are the best alarm system that you can get (!)

That's all my agency bought. We had about 14 when I left.
Most live with their handlers at home with family so they can be trusted and very protective. Handlers also get to keep them when retired

My neighbor has a non-working one that's sweet as a poodle. Love that dog!!!

Long story in short :
The owner of the Belgian Malinois is a single nurse in my neighborhood , her husband died too young from cancer ...
The nurse is a good friend from my GF , 3 years ago she bought a puppy Malinois with outstanding breed papers .
The nurse lives alone and was afraid in her big house , the dog gives her now a very safe feeling in her house .
But actually she can't handle her Malinois , as she works in 3 shifts and sometimes also during the weekends .
That's why I take him out for some adventures , and he really loves it ..
But sometimes he walks actually with me ...
He can hear and smell me already when I walk to the house (!)

His name is "Odin" , I'm pretty sure you know what that means
