Ok I am guessing you did not get that from your dealer cause they don’t know anything half the time, so bravo detective Pikachu over here. I am in the same boat just waiting at port, so it is good to have a time frame. Thank you for posting this for all of us!

As of today, mine is in "Quality Check". I'm guessing it wouldn't make that ship, but we'll see.

Just seeing this (need to check my notifications). I ordered from Owings Mills. I wasn't thrilled with Alexandria when I got my M550, and the guys up in OM really took good care of us when we got my wife's X5. BTW: their pricing on the scheduled maintenance extension (now Ultimate Care) was less than half the cost of any other dealer!

I'll definitely keep an eye out! We should plan a Cars & Coffee meet when we both have our rides.

Has anyone heard about recalls on the i5 that do not have a remedy?

My local dealership has 2 i5 M60s en route. One is actually scheduled to arrive at Brunswick tomorrow. However, both have active recalls that do not have a remedy (dealers description) and I cannot actually purchase the car. I can place a deposit and wait until they are resolved. No time table given.

wonder if they are actually recalls, or if it means the same thing as they are not allowed to be released/sold to the public yet.

The way he phrased it was actual recalls. I asked if there was an ETA on a remedy and he said no. I've purchased 3 cars from him and he's always been a straight shooter.

I really hope it's just a timing thing. I currently have an iX M60 as a loaner while my M3 is being serviced and it's really convinced me to purchase the i5 M60.

Just checked NHTSA, there is no recall for 5. In fact, i5 is not even in their vehicle list yet.

i have noticed in the past there is a lag. unless bmwusa makes it an official recall publicly it wont show up.

What’s the trick here to figure out when the car will arrive at port?

My car’s status shows as “Dispatched from Factory”. Trying to figure when to expect it especially if it comes before the end of my lease (end of Dec ‘23).

I am based in Southeast Michigan. Based on the ships at port in Bremerhaven heading to the East Coast, I am under the impression that the car may be onboard Themis which is slated to arrive on October 8th in New York.
