Did you really just lump Brady, JFK and MLK together?
And i think you missed the gist of most everything mentioned lately. The NFL had an agenda with this whole deflategate thing. They were going to punish the Patriots no matter what and they were going to go after Brady no matter what. If you can't figure that out, then ok, but most people who have looked at all the info have come to the same conclusion. |

Only in the sense that as role models, they each had/have an obligation to live by a higher set of ethical comportment and standards. Blue: Whether or not the NFL had an agenda has no bearing on what is or is no the most ethically rigorous way for Mr. Brady to have handled the matter. Mr. Brady's stonewalling made it easier for them to pursue their vindictive objective. Simply making the texts/phone/emails available from the get-go would have preempted their ability to go after him. They'd have needed to find a new target. Other: Where is the "stuff" that clearly (not debatably) suggests that the NFL had an agenda? All the best.

At the end of the day, the NFL didnt do near enough to prove Brady nor the Patriots did anything against the rules, and that is why Brady is currently playing. Whether he did or not, is another argument, but based on the previous 2 games he has now played with ball psi being closely monitored, I can't see why he would want underinflated footballs. The circumstances surrounding and how one handles any disparagement of one's character or integrity is an ethical matter, particularly if the matter involves what seems to be a transgression to which one may have contributed for personal gain in contravention of explicit rules. When the matter is isolated to oneself, it's an ethical one; when the potential scope transcends oneself and has a potential impact on others, however slight, it's a moral one. A preemptive move is among the best forms of self preservation. Blue: ??? Because they are easier to grasp securely (especially in cold, wet weather) seems the obvious reason in my mind, but it need not be Mr. Brady's reason. I know only that one of the equipment handlers stated (verbally or in a text, I don't recall...cf The Wells Report) he knew Mr. Brady prefers balls with less pressure rather than more. Do you or I need to see why? We aren't the ones throwing the balls in the game. The man prefers what he prefers for whatever reason. It could be preposterous in my mind as to why he prefers softer balls to harder ones, but that it is is irrelevant. He does, that's a fact, and that's that. All the best.

You and I both know I'm making the distinction between doing so proactively vs. doing so reactively.
All the best.

I agree. Not rude or distasteful. Just kinda strange. Almost complimentary tho:
