The US per Capita disposable personal income was $26,964 in 2008 [1].

Does that mean everyone made $27k/year in 2008? No, of course not. Did the U.S. Census Bureau have to explain that fact to everyone? No, of course not, because most of us made it through middle school with at least a basic understanding of the term "per".

It'd be interesting to compare sales numbers at quarter end and see if BMW's competitors' numbers have gone up the respective % that BMW's numbers have gone down.

and yet you still don't understand what it means do you?

This is just too much fun...

if per meant average, it would mean average capita income. What the heck is that?

No, it is "per capita", which used together means "for each person, in relation to people taken individually"

you can't say "The per income for all people in Arizona is $"

Here, these links will help you understand better
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/per%20capita
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/percapita.asp
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/per

Hope that helps!

I'm a big BMW fan but this isn't good news at all and will certainly be looking at other options when the time comes.
This is why I've been looking at lease take overs instead. I did my 09 335 ed, and its amazing what bmw has done since than, but than again fed rate went up, economy is doing good, it is what it is.
