I am sorry, Police should know the difference between gun fire and backfire. I give the average joe may not, but police who are require to shoot at the gun range all the time should know the difference. With that said, most of police have no clue that is what we have these problems.

It was good to see the police laughing at the end once they figure it out.

Did anyone notice the police with high capacity clips on their automatic weapons.

Magazine not clip. A clip is used to load the rounds into the magazine which is part of the gun. Like on m1 or sks that has fixed magazine.

That's a shame - was such a stealthy sleeper otherwise (insert sarcasm font).

But what I'm rolling over is picturing this with a real gun, and the thought of somebody saying 'no officer, it isn't a high capacity clip' then after being busted saying 'but it's not a clip - its a MAGAZINE - you only asked if I had a high capacity CLIP'. Based upon my past interactions, might just get you the 'fellow-gun-lover courtesy treatment' (unless you were randomly firing it in your back yard).

I was in law enforcement for over 30 years, gunfire at the range is almost always heard through ear protection, and quite muffled. Not all guns sound the same, some rounds like hand guns make a very different sound than a long gun or a shot gun. The police responded to what they thought may be gunfire, and when they realized it wasn't they laughed it off. Shit happens.

Not to counter, but unfortunately people die because "shit happens", such as that idiot who called a SWAT team from California and someone else got killed. Unfortunately, the family of the victim, as well as the officer who did the shooting, continue suffering. Difficult calls.
