Last week I snagged a bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin Distillers Edition (2000) from my local Costco.

If you love Lagavulin or other smokey Islay's, you owe to yourself to give it a try. It's finished in used Pedro Ximenéz sherry casks smoothing out the whisky and adding a deeper flavor profile. Think Lagavulin meets Macallan.

Uncle, or Wade.

I gave a friend a sniff of Aberlour when he asked for something adult. He freaking gulped it in a single shot like it was some Cuervo or something. Next time he gets the Fireball that the kids left when they couldn't stomach it either.

Not this one. Russian Winter Wheat. It is not THE best (that would go to XO or Zyr) tasting or absolute smoothest vodka, BUT, for it's price point, it is! Definitely my go to if I don't want to fork over the big bucks for a vodka.

Vodka is just gin looking for flavor, but if you have to drink it, Hangar One is your best bet.

So, when I only had about 1.5 ounces of Ketel 1 left to pour in my drink, and then I pulled down the 1.75l of Tanq, I wasn't really committing some atrocity? They both went into the same can of lemonade

I like Grey Goose and it has certainly earned it's Premium Vodka name. There are just so many vodkas and now premium vodkas to choose from.

I also like Chopin and Belvedere.

But behold the greatest tasting and one of the smoothest spirits on earth:

Quote:
France -Distilled nine times in very small batches. French copper Alambic stills are employed in the creation process, which takes several weeks from start to finish. Made from French wheat and spring water from the Cognac area, this vodka created for ultimate smoothness.
I have some buried in my freezer from years ago. Chilled, it's like sipping water.

Everyone should try this at least once...

This IS the standard. Kettle one and grey goose are also good.
Absolute is absolutely disgusting.

I'm a Tito's fan myself. I'm not saying it's the best, but it does have a favorable word embedded in the TITle.

Just killed my bottle of Martin Miller Westbourne Strength. Bottle of Nolet's to get me thru the night, but need to run down a new bottle of St George Terrior to replace the MM.
