Lucky you are Canadian, I know houses in CA don't have basements unless you are a serial killer or something.
I'd love to do a G scale with diesel electrics in the backyard but there is this thing called "Money" that gets in the way.

Wow, I didn't know snow was so valuable that you had banks dedicated to it. Then again it is fairly rare, I had to go up to 4,000 feet plus to see and touch it.
On the other hand, everything in California is brown, it is our state color and the cactus is our state tree.

Its getting lower day after day, but not too long ago, I was only seeing my front neighboor's roof since the pile was so high!
They plow the streets and we plow our entrance and where goes all that snow? On the front yard! Lucky thing our draining systems is built with this consideration; or that finished basement would look more like an indoor / inground pool.

Balancing on the beak.... 10.0!
I like Pelicans, always try to grab a pic of them when I see them. Two good shots, enjoy the sun.

Nice shots, Joey. Looks warm there. We haven't seen warm in ages and we're looking at 5-8" of snow tomorrow. This winter refuses to end.

We had rougly 16-18 inches of snow in the past week alone. It just wont go!
Last year at this date, I was BBQ'ing in flip flops on my deck; chest naked.

As for basements, on the west coats, I get her it's hit and miss in BC for them...
I guess a lot of contractors are making a lot of money on the latest fashion here of lofting the houses and building a new basement for them. G scale would be fantastic to do, but they are a large project with the funds needed. Will wait on that for a few years.... Maybe I'll stick it h.o. For now. |

Yes, We had a small snowfall that lasted about an hours RIGHT after we talked about it. But the sun's pretty strong; its still melting right now. Its juicy on the roads let me tell ya!
This is a nightmare season for a car detailing guy like me The only way for me to keep my car clean for 24 hours, is to go to the car wash; and just stay there for the next 24 hours. But I wont complain. I'm a summer guy; as long as we're progressing, i'm ok with the juice :P

We had a VERY HUGE coop-style project in Vancouver BC and it was so close to the ocean, occupants from the 3rd storey had a direct view. But we're naming it the leaky coop; i'm pretty sure you can imagine why

We had snow in Vancouver for about 30 seconds yesterday, there were a lot of pissed off people.... It was never enough to actually make the ground wet however
Very not seasonal for here. It's neat seeing snow at 7-8C |

I know I freaking love Vancouver; its pretty much my second favorite canadian city. There's some temporary job postings on occasionnal basis within my current employer and I used to always try my luck. Got one once in Vancouver and another one in Toronto shortly after! The one in Vancouver was a real vacation-grade business trip. I was at the top storey of the Hyatt; right downtown. Walking distance from pretty much everything. But now with the bun in the oven, I have calm down; or just bring them over with me! I loved my friday afternoons walking around stanley park; so much nice ... people over there.
