Weissach Test Video released with a decent shot of the interior and some nice, sustained powersliding, which is unheard of out of a crossover.

I just watched this (at work so no sound

) and it's pretty impressive. There is definitely a strong RWD bias going on there which is excellent. The interior shows us most of what we already know, except for the little red ejection button is intriguing. haha

I am so glad they figured out how to have a steering wheel that is sport with paddles and includes multifunction buttons. If we had to choose between the two, that would have been rough. This wheel looks fantastic.

I'm thinking the 90% rear wheel bias might actually hold water after seeing that video. And I completely agree with the Sport Design steering wheel. Multifunction buttons on it is what I have been looking for. I hate the standard PDK paddles.

Red ejection button is for the angry spouse after you tell her how much the Macan Turbo actually was!

If Porsche is going to charge ~$90k for a nicely optioned Macan Turbo it better be good and be a match even for cars like the new M3. That's $30k more than the well optioned SQ5 I looked at the other day and as much as a lightly optioned Cayenne GTS. I think it will be very good but will it be great enough for us to swallow the price tag? Let's hope so.

Like the Cayenne Turbo, the Macan will be loaded with options that, when placed on a Macan S, will be within ~$10k of each other. I can't see adding much more to the Turbo other than wheels.

Some Cayenne Turbo options I'd want on a Macan Turbo:

Wheels: $4k
PDCC: $3.5k
PTV: $1.5k
Burmester: $4k

Sum: $13k + $75k base price + $1k destination = $89k

Then deduct usual Porsche discount of $0.000.....

Yeah, I think I remember you mentioning those now earlier in the thread. That would be an awesome setup!

Wheel pricing is beyond ridiculous.

Have you heard the burmester before? If so, How does it compare to the bose?

We have the Bose in our 2013 Cayenne. I's ok but below the enhanced premium in my M3 and below the upgraded audio in the F10 and E60. I only listened to the Burmester in the Panny and it sounded fantastic, better than the B&O in the F10/F12 IMO. I'm not sure if it's the same unit as the Macan will have though. I can do with the Bose so it's not a must have for me and $4k is steep. Same with ptv, it's not a must but PDCC I think will be a must on such a relatively tall and heavy vehicle if the primary use will be "sport". Makes me cry that my 2008 E60 had ars (BMW's pdcc ), upgraded audio, an alu front for a ~3600 lbs weight and nice wheels for $54k... Now I'm contemplating a spiffy cute ute for $90k since there are no longer any truly sporty sedans on the market. Fast yes, but sport nah. The F80 will hopefully change that.

It looks like a tight fit, but remember, the front seats are adjusted for someone of 6' in height and the dude in the back seat is pretty tall.

If you've ever sat in a Q5, you'll know there is tons of legroom in the back compared to an E90.

Autocar noted that "The cabin is very spacious. There’s lots of legroom and headroom for four adults, and five at a pinch."

I like the interior, a few improvements over the Cayenne like smaller fake alu trim around the center vents and a nicer looking steering wheel. I'm not concerned about rear headroom since my kids are the only rear passengers. It also looks like it has a panorama roof, cool.

The Weissach video is cool, though I've seen similar drifting shots of the Cayenne and there are some SUV roll going on, not bad but it's there. I really like how planted it looks in the bumpy section of the track.

The leg room in the rear seat in that pic looks pretty much exactly the same as my E90. The front interior is beeeeeautiful and I don't mind all the buttons either.

That was my thought as well. Heck, my wife's F30 has more rear seat room than my E90 (she always feels cramped back there compared to her car).

I sat in an SQ5, and if the rear seat configuration is carried over, you're going to feel like there is a good amount of room. I hope the rear seats articulate 3 degrees forward and aft, and slide the 3 inches like the Q5. Not sure how tall you are, but when I adjusted the front seats for a 5'11" driver and 5'5" passenger, the rear had a good 4+ inches between the seat and my knees when sitting in the back.

I'm 5'11" and can sit behind myself comfortably but with no extra room in my E90. My sister has a Q5 3.0T and it has a lot more room than my car but I dunno if the Macan will be the same in that regard. It should be but unless the front seats are slammed back in that photo, that's pretty tight looking.
