I don’t see how it can be a better deal, one is all electric and the other is hybrid….

He says the i5 is cheaper than the PHEV in his country by a few thousand euros + electricity is way cheaper than gas. Since he says they are both good to drive and have close enough performance he feels the i5 is better in terms of value for money.

He still says the 550e is the better car in his opinion.

Even with the suspension in sport the 550e feels comfortable on our terrible roads.

I am guessing that passive m sport would be fine in most places.

The lack of IAS is hard to judge, it's useful when parking/turning but not too sure I prefer
it when cornering.

It's strange the US doesn't get the option.

Didn’t watch but I don’t speak the language either. I’m neither a fan of PHEV nor EV but the complexity of the PHEV leaves me…wondering. I’d love it if they were clearly better but maybe the i5 in this case? That’s where I am with the G90 M5. I just don’t get the excitement given the weight, dynamics, and price. And the price doesn’t put me off nearly as much as the other issues.

Got my car delivered last week, couldn’t be more happier with the updated interior and the power of it.

I recently checked the website and as of yesterday, nothing about the 550e is available. No way to configure except with the order guide. Just for fun, I also checked BMW Canada and BMW UK. Nothing about the 550e. What is going on?

The 550e is on the BMW UK configurator as normal. Go to bmw.co.uk, build + price, + plug in hybrid. Saloon, Touring (and also M5) are there.

Congratulations - be sure to post photos. And I bet it comes with the Adaptive Suspension and IAS (rear steering), correct? Not sure why the US is being "punished" not having these options available.
