its a freaking star in a circle and you're thinking chuck taylors? I really do not care for the N. Koreans - actually feel bad for them. Do you really think Kim Il Sung googled logos, saw the chuck taylor logo and thought, damn! that's it!

I'm neutral on:
turbo vs na (prefer na but turbo has power and they try hard to rid of the lag in throttle response) DCT vs 6MT (prefer manual but DCT is fun in my wife's car and on track) M4 vs M3 (who cares, same car) But absolutely not neutral on all this we need AWD whining. I say learn how to drive properly - we don't need understeer and lift off oversteer |

Unfair to rate, since most of us are happy with BMW. I simply like the brand, and even if Cadillac came out with an 800hp supercharged car for the same price, I'd still choose BMW.

Im all for it. If it's the bitch slap BMW and M need to wake up then it's worth it to have some competition.

if they want to compete, they should bring something unique and new.
Not the similar letter to M or similar color theme as M stripes. Now it's just looks like knock off wannabe, not true M's competitor like AMG or RS (or even IPL..).

Very interesting.. Hyundai N vs BMW M haha
At the end of the day, this kind of "competition" is great for consumers. If it's reasonably priced and comes along with all the "expertise" from the former BMW M engineer, should be a winner. Can't argue against that 10K/100,000 mile warranty haha. |

First they made the Genesis 3.8 to 'top' Infiniti's 3.7L V6
Now... they need an N to top the M? If the production car looks anything like the photo in the OP, it won't be an M competitor... depending on price-point it will battle the Civic Type Rs or Nissan GT-R/Juke Rs of the world. Different car for different demographic

It was not too long ago that mustangs were leagues behind the m3's in terms of performance, now, the gt350, not only is speculated to surpass the m3 in performance, it looks awesome and is more affordable. Just wait a few more years and perhaps, Ford will have another better day-to-day car. The have already done so much in such a short amount of time. You have to give ford credit and you have to give Hyundai credit too. Hyundai has shaped up their reputation in the past 10 years and makes some solid reliable offerings and backs them with a solid warranty. With the right team and resources they can absolutely make a splash with this car. Last edited by ilikebmxbikes; 08-26-2015 at 10:34 PM.. |
