I loved that car!
Oooh and the biggest baddest stereo system Pioneer had at the time

When I was 16 my parents let me drive the 1984 5MT 190e 2.3 until they bought me my MKIV GTi.
(Not actual car but identical in looks)

We drove it for 340k miles and everything was original!! I still haven't forgiven them for selling it two years ago.

Here's my first, a 1961 Triumph TR3. I couldn't have been prouder. My mother is taking this grainy overexposed film with the family's 8mm camera (she insisted she had to have a movie of me in my '67 high school graduation gown). I agreed only if she'd include the Triumph. As I drive off to commencement, the passenger has been my friend since we walked to 1st grade together and we've been business partners for 42 years and counting.

Wow Jay, that's the coolest video I've seen in a long time. Congrats on your business partnership. 42 years is a long time. And that 61 Triumph

Don't have a pic of my actual car, but it was 1988 Dodge Daytona similar to this one.

What a great thread! I went back and found an old picture of my two most precious possessions: 98 Prelude and 90 RX-7. My parents bought me the prelude when i went off to college and the RX-7 was my first car purchase. I bought it to learn how to drive a manual. I still remember trying to get it back home the day i bought it. I waited till late at night to make sure i didn't cause a wreck. Stalled a few times but i got her home!

Great thread idea. My first car I saved up for working at the supermarket. Sold it to fund an overseas trip. I still miss it

Maybe so. I don't own either any more. LOL

I was happy to let the Malibu go, but I was sad about my Accord's having been stolen.

All the best.

There're a lot of spoiled folks on this forum judging by all the cool cars folks had as their first car. Neither my first car nor the first car I bought for myself were particularly cool, although I did come enjoy having each of them.

Even now, I don't think I have particularly "cool" cars, but I like the cars I have (E92, F10, Range Rover, & MB 560 SEL). On the other hand, I have three wonderful kids, three and a half slammin' houses, a very nice boat and lots of "toys."

All the best.
