We don't have earthquakes here, so not even our shacks shake. Waffle House doesn't come this far north, and that is the only place that I can think of where a secret decoder ring is needed when reading a menu to order hash browns.

There is an A&W Root Beer restaurant on the other side of the Hudson River from us, and several Jack in the Box restaurants in a cluster around Charlotte, NC when we're down by our SC tree farm.....

They're called secret menu items and they give you more variety when ordering. They spice up the already delicious choices on the menu. Look them up on the internet if you're interested. No decoder ring necessary.
