I was close last spring, but as you no doubt know, close doesn't count on the Na Pali coast. Helicopter or boat are the best bet -- or a very arduous trek.

I was lucky enough to hike it during a backpacking trip on Kauai back in the mid-90s. 11 miles out - 11 miles back. Worth every step.

The company is that old, but the facility is "only a few decades old" according to Wikipedia. Still, very impressive to have a family-owned business for so many generations.

I had had this photo checked by a snake expert. It's a Venomous Northern Pacific Rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus).

While many have abandoned Facebook, I still check in there in search of interesting photos related to aviation or cars. Recently FB has decided that I like looking at castles -- they're not wrong.
