Hell fuckin yaa.. I just wish Armin came on around 12.. never figured out why they put the headliner last its not like its a TV show for people to stick around for the commercials. The die hard ravers will stay til the end. That way everyones happy since everyone is still energized when the headliner comes up. By 2AM you're all tired and shit lol

^^ not when your rolling lol and Im sure if they put Armin at 12:00 and Sasha at 2:00, after Armin a lot of people will leave the mainstage and they want to keep all the stages equal to avoid over crowding. Also they have to put a good dj last to keep the energy going, last time i saw sasha it was pretty boring, douth he can keep the crowd hyped from 2 to 4am.. same reason they put PVD last all the time, his sets are faster and harder hitting.

Now i know why Armin's number one. Sasha sucked, Pete Tong sucked harder, James Zabiela sucked the hardest. My night was horrible until Armin came on and made the $80 ticket worth it. I'll probably go to one more rave and thats it. Too many kids and cholos that know nothing about house or trance come and get fucked up.

Hey bHd, your other thread inspired me to do a mini review post of the Tiesto show. I don't normally do reviews, so forgive me. I saw a video on Youtube of a show in NYC and noticed it was really similiar to the one I saw in Milwaukee (search Tiesto Kaleidoscope).
I decided to go see him in Milwaukee as opposed to Chicago (where I am currently) primarily due to it being my hometown, so I could go to the show with more friends. The ticket being cheaper in a smaller market was a bonus. I've seen Tiesto a handful of times in the past, and I could say that this show is better, so much so that is actually inspired be to write about it, lol. It wasn't so much the track selection or the visuals, but how much better he exceeded my expectations. I DIDN'T buy his new album because I wasn't a fan of how much I thought his sound changed for the worse from just hearing samplers. Seeing the show live was a different experience altogether. The tracks I heard samplers of were executed so well, I came away with a different opinion of them. Without spoiling the show, all I can say is that the backdrop of the show includes a retro music video style of some of the more popular songs done on a huge LED multi screen setup. |
