I have Android now on mine and it runs great. It benchmarks in speed right at the top of all Android devices. If you are a techy, it was an excellent purchase.

It's going to be extremely difficult to perfect the Cyanogenmod for the Touchpad. Main problem being drivers. Most people think you can just install the Android OS and !BAM! you have an Android tablet.... but no. Drivers are too specific to hardware and OS.

I'm willing to bet that the Cyanogenmod project for the Touchpad will be abandoned before it will be perfect or even finalized. Probably the Beta will be their final revision... Continuously fixing software bugs is nothing short of a full-time job and soon these volunteers will lose the motivation to support this dead product.

I doubt it... it would ruin their reputation... that is more important to some... they may drag it out though, while we all patiently wait for Google to release the ICS source code... that will eventually be the full port to the Touchpad.
